I write this post as I’m just returning home from sitting around the bonfire making s’mores with Justin, his parents, and his brother, Jeromy. Somewhere between me stumbling into the 2009 Glasbrenner Christmas dinner in my pajamas with my messy curly hair and teenage naivity in all its glory and tonight, these people became my family. I just got to spend a week at the beach Justin has grown up going to every year with the same two other families that go the same week as the Glasbrenner’s every year, and I am feeling so lucky and grateful for the time I’ve gotten to spend with these people through Justin. These past 4.5 years haven’t been perfect… and we’ve had our rough patches… but at the end of the day, I’m getting to live my life with my best friend and everything else is just a bonus. I know God is doing something AMAZING in each of us right now, and I can’t wait to see where we end up in the next four and a half years. Justin, thank you for being my rock, my support system, my encourager, my shoulder to cry on, my calm in the storm, my own personal comedian, mechanic, car encyclopedia, and assistant photographer, my confidant, my protector, and my #1 fan. I love who you are and who you are becoming as we grow older. Here’s to another awesome summer and beginning the six month countdown to our trip to Europe this winter (and our FIVE year anniversary)!
